Larisa & Dan – Wedding Session

On June 19th, 2024, during the four-day “Tell a Story” photography workshop led by Julius Paul in Cluj-Napoca, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph a beautifully styled wedding editorial session featuring Larisa and Dan — two wonderful souls who stepped into the roles of bride and groom with grace and emotion.

From the very first day, the atmosphere was filled with intimacy and authenticity. Larisa and Dan prepared together in a serene, elegant setting. Though they were playing a role, their connection was undeniable. Larisa, in a delicate wedding dress and soft veil, radiated elegance. With no bridesmaids around, it was just Dan — offering quiet support, gentle smiles, and warm presence. Their chemistry brought every moment to life, and I captured the details: a glance, a gentle touch, the calm joy of simply being together.

Throughout the next days of the workshop, we explored different editorial wedding styles, capturing everything from fine art portraits to emotionally raw, cinematic scenes. One of the highlights was the location, exquisitely styled by Cristina Pop (Cotoi) — every corner was thoughtfully curated, offering the perfect canvas for romance and storytelling.

On the third day, a humanist ceremony took place in a dream-like setting. Larisa and Dan walked hand-in-hand down the aisle, eyes full of love. Though scripted, their emotions felt real, and the photographs taken during that session captured a unique kind of magic — a quiet sincerity that went far beyond posing.

The final evening ended with a joyful wedding celebration. Under the soft glow of lights, Larisa and Dan danced like newlyweds, surrounded by laughter and warmth. The wedding cake, decorated with edible flowers and elegant details, added the perfect final touch. Their first dance became a visual poem — full of love, light, and a hint of fantasy.

This four-day experience was more than a workshop. It was a powerful reminder of how photography can tell stories that feel real, even when imagined. The images of Larisa and Dan remain a timeless wedding editorial collection, and I feel truly honored to have captured their journey through my lens.
